Requisition ID: 157588 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Purpose** Contributes to the overall success of the Insurance business in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Supports strategic storytelling through preparation of Executive Communication materials that triangulate business results, initiatives, outcomes and next steps into clear, concise documents for a broad audience - Supports business governance activities including coordinating and managing key strategic processes including annual planning, understanding the health of the business, its needs and building a narrative to clearly articulate and communicate to CB leadership - Lead deliveries in collaboration with various other teams (i.e. IT, Marketing, Sales, etc.) throughout the organization to implement recommendations that strengthen Insurance product features, positioning or processes; collaborate with analytics functions to track, manage and report on progress and results - Supports key growth and/or operations initiatives to drive revenue/efficiencies for the business - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment **Requirements**: - Completion of post-secondary education, preferably business focused - Experience in both Authorized and Non-Authorized insurance is preferred by not required - Exceptional communication skills across various mediums - Highly proficient with PowerPoint, with the ability to build out robust strategies and forward looking - Effective project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure - Strong ability to influence without direct authority - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to disseminate key ideas and information Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
