We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Associate, Business Development to join our growing Institutional Asset Management team. **Is this role right for you? In this role, you will**: - Support senior business development professional sales and marketing activities in identifying and cultivating relationships with institutional investors - Prepare marketing and due diligence materials, including pitch books, RFPs/RFIs, investment summaries, and client reporting materials. - Conduct market and competitor research to identify new business opportunities and trends in the asset management industry - Support the generation of management reporting by maintaining and updating CRM dashboards, KPIs and ensuring accurate tracking reports on sales efforts and ongoing opportunities. - Collaborate with investment, marketing, legal, and client service teams to ensure consistent and timely delivery of client materials. - Participate in client meetings and industry events as needed, assisting with follow-up and documentation. - Analyze sales pipeline data to support strategy development and internal reporting. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have**: - 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, which could include in investment consulting, portfolio management/research, institutional relationship management or financial markets - Demonstrated understanding of financial markets, investments and the needs of institutional investors and their consultants - Proactive team player with ability to prioritize, to thrive in a fast-paced environment, to show a high-level of professionalism and to pay great attention to detail - Strong interpersonal, leadership, listening, communication (both verbal and written), problem solving and resource management skills. - A self-starter who is equally at home working within cross-functional teams **Other Information** This position will require travel Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
