**GENERAL SUMMARY**:Responsible for ensuring Marriott Standards of Quality in guest bedrooms.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily. All keys must be signed for in the key sign-out log.
- Prepare for making up rooms in your section (after proceeding to the linen room and removing the cart, which has been stocked the night before). Check-out is always done first, except for any special requests.
- Ensure correct set up of Room Attendant cart, maintaining neatness and tidiness at all times.
- Clean a given number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and suites according to Marriott standards, ensuring that a light level of cleanliness is maintained. Be careful to observe all ‘Do Not Disturb’ signs.
- Equip bedrooms, bathrooms, and suites with guest supplies according to standard set-ups.
- Use labeled cleaning products and materials, supplied by the hotel, correctly and with care.
- Ensure careful and correct handling of equipment and proper safety procedures are followed.
- Report any maintenance defects and safety hazards.
- Promptly report lost and found items to Housekeeping.
- Follow up on special cleaning instructions given by the Executive or Assistant Housekeeper.
- Be conscious of security.
- Ensure excellent grooming standards and uniform standards are maintained.
- Be helpful and courteous to guests.
- Punch in all VR and OR rooms.
- Place carts and vacuums in linen closets or VD rooms at each break.
- Complete all necessary reports and work assignment sheets.
- Always be careful not to make excessive noise in the guest room areas. You may disturb a guest (this applies at any time during the day or night while you are on the floor).
- Leave cart organized and packed for the next day. Return cart to linen room at end of shift.
- Pass all pertinent information to the Night Attendant.
- Must be compliant with all Hotel Emergency Procedures.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:

- **Education/Experience**: _

Ø Previous housekeeping experience or similar environment a definite asset.

Ø Previous customer service experience a definite asset.

Ø WHMIS training a definite asset.
- **Complexity/Analysis**:_

Ø Must be able to complete physical work with the ability to bend, push, pull and lift.

Ø Available for various shifts (days, evenings, weekends).

Ø Must take pride in their work and job completion.

Ø Must pay attention to detail.

Ø Able to work independently.

Ø Support the team effort and spirit of the cleanliness of the hotel.

**Salary**: $22.00-$23.33 per hour
