**Summary / Role Purpose**
The Product specialist II works closely with Application Engineers and product developers to drive product development and provide expert help in deployment of Ansys solutions. In this role, the Product specialist II will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish objectives.
The product specialist role within Ansys Cloud organization offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of cloud computing accessibility for Ansys simulation products. We are passionate about creating a frictionless experience as our customers execute simulation oriented work and solution flows over the spectrum of on-prem, virtual private and managed cloud compute environments. If you thrive in environments where innovation and collaboration are paramount, and possess a deep proficiency in High Performance Computing (HPC) using Ansys products such as Fluent, Mechanical, LS-DYNA, Maxwell, and HFSS, then this role is for you Working together with our product creation teams, you will not only drive product development but also play a pivotal role in ensuring our products delight our customers. **Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop competence in the use of multiple Ansys products running in cloud and related HPC environments, and be recognized as an emerging expert.
- Work with Customers and Application Engineers to understand new field requirements and create product specifications.
- Act as a customer proxy to development teams, and validate new product features to ensure they meet the requirements.
- Work behind the scenes, be task-orientated and take direction from a mentor to assist with evaluations, benchmarks, or demos.
- Develop the trust and respect of team members, within the Cloud organization and throughout Product and ACE organizations.
**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**
- BS in Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience, or MS in Engineering or related field.
- Working experience with CAE and simulation tools (particularly Ansys products), executing large-scale problems in HPC environments.
**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**
- Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience executing simulations running in on-premises and cloud environments like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working collaboratively in and with geographically distributed teams.
- Passion for identifying and articulating product strengths and weaknesses to project stakeholders, and a strong drive to maximize customer value delivery.
