Our Hamilton, Ontario plant manufactures Ingersoll disc blades and coulters that improve farm productivity and profitability. We operate 24/7 in a unionized environment and on 8 hour rotating shifts for this position. We are urgently hiring for full time, permanent **Sweep Cell Operators **to join our team.

**What you will do**:

- Work collaboratively as part of a team rotating between four to five activities that heat treats sweeps and forms them in presses prior to painting and packaging
- Follow all plant and safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipment (i.e., hearing and eye protection, heat resistant gloves and sleeves, and company approved work boots).
- Follow instructions of supervisor or group leader in setting up and operating rotary gas fired furnace hot form presses, and Egyptian Lacquer painting and drying system
- Move and position material by hand, tools, and equipment
- Assist the production team, electricians, millrights, tool and die makers in changing dies and bolsters
- Obtain approval on first off piece after set-up and make all necessary adjustments to ensure a high-quality product
- Maintain cleanliness of machinery, presses, and work area

**Equipment and Material**
- Sweep blanks, rotary furnace, presses, press dies, draw conveyor, Egyptian lacquer coating system, gauging tools, hardness tester, furnace tongs, and personal protective equipment.

**Job Qualifications**
- Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working safely in a heavy industrial environment
- Working knowledge of OHSA and relevant legislation (e.g., WHMIS, Lockout, Confined Space, Working at Heights, etc.) and willingness to successfully complete employer paid training
- Able to prioritize urgency based on production requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing, collaborating team member
- Ability to safely perform the physical demands of this position including prolonged standing, upper limb coordination, frequent gripping, and heavy lifting
