**Sourcing Specialist**

**Full Time, Permanent**

**Hybrid - Onsite 4 days per week**

**Purpose**

Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, the Sourcing Specialist, Direct Materials, plays an essential role in Procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing strategies, vendor relationship management, lead time reduction and YOY cost savings achievement.

You will work closely with the Sourcing Manager and provide strategic sourcing solutions to key functional groups:

- Packaging (Packaging Development, Research and Innovations, Product Development, Project Launch Managers, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Planning & Quality)
- Indirect (Operations, Quality, Legal, Engineering, Warehouse & Logistics, Health & Safety, Finance)
- Raw Materials (Research and Innovations, Regulatory, Sales, Supply Planning & Quality)

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned categories, aligning with business goals and market trends.
- Demonstrate robust strategic sourcing levers through supplier segmentation, spend and TCO analytics, cost modeling and OTIF KPIs.
- Build key procurement and standardized sourcing processes such as supplier qualification and performance management.
- Source and qualify innovative suppliers, who can reduce costs, improve service, and enhance product quality.
- Manage the supplier database and find alternative suppliers if the existing ones are unable to meet their obligations by leveraging the data from vendor scorecard/KPIs.
- Negotiate the commercial terms of supplier contracts in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) to align business expectations and track vendor performance.
- Create and execute cost-saving initiatives to achieve annual company targets.
- Develop contingency plans with internal stakeholders during Supply Chain disruptions to improve launch and fill rates.
- Develop strategies to implement lead time reduction of materials through forecasting, safety stock and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
- Spearhead cross functional change control discussions on product discontinuation, process change/improvement and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate project feasibility and gather input from cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills, Experience and Education**:

- Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical), BBA/BCom in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in Procurement/Sourcing/Supply Chain and/or Product Management.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, CPG, retail, or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, PO collaboration and Business Intelligence software.
- Project management, process improvement and negotiation skills.
- Beauty, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical or Food industry experience is an asset.
- MBA, Lean Six Sigma, APICS, CSCMP, CPSM, CPIM certifications.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
