Trim Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company that provides commercial and large-scale high-end residential and landscaping services in Nova Scotia. We are continually growing and are looking to add a Softscape Foreman to our team in Bedford We have done many premier maintenance and design-build landscape projects in NS like Argyle and Spring Garden streets, Queen’s Marque and Peggy Cove’s Viewing Deck.

Who are You?
*

You are an experienced landscaper and/or horticulturalist willing to lead and train a crew in the landscape trade. You are very comfortable running a softscape project from start to finish with limited direction from your manager. You know how to grade and lay sod/seed, plant trees and install a garden bed with shrubs and perennials from the blueprint to the final touch on the mulch.

You have the following skills/qualifications:

- Excellent communication skills - verbal & written
- Comfortable with smartphone/tablet
- 3 years experience in landscape construction
- Experienced in operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation

More importantly, you are driven individual looking to grow and be a part of moving a business forward. You are trustworthy so that you can take on tasks and projects within your team with limited supervision. You are able to solve problems and willing to make a decision even if it’s a mistake. You are willing to work outside of your everyday tasks and responsibilities when the team needs you.

- Preventative maintenance and cleanliness of your equipment
- Training of your crew members

*Who will be on your Team?
*

Day-to-day you will be working with your crew of 2-3 people. Direction, oversight and information for projects will be coordinated through a project manager with the help of office staff. You will work with the project manager day-to-day to deliver projects to our customers. In the winter, your team may vary based on route with snow removal. You will also work with our fleet manager in the event of break-downs to report problems with equipment to be repaired.
