**Your Role**

As a **Bookkeeper**, you will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial tasks, including invoicing, tracking payments, and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up to date. You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company, providing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.

**Role Responsibilities**
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Process invoices, track payments, and manage customer accounts.
- **Bank Reconciliations**: Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- **General Ledger Maintenance**: Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
- **Tax Filing**: Assist with filing taxes, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- **Inventory Tracking**: Monitor and track parts and supplies used in the shop, assisting with inventory management.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in both paper and digital formats.
- **Support Audits**: Assist with any external audits and provide necessary documentation when required.
- **Other Administrative Tasks**: Support the management team with administrative tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a **Bookkeeper** or in a similar accounting role.
- **Proficiency in accounting software** (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and **Microsoft Excel**.
- **Strong understanding of accounting principles** and financial reporting.
- Experience with **payroll processing** and compliance with local labor laws.
- **Detail-oriented** with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent **communication** and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- **Experience in the automotive or trucking industry** is an asset but not required.
