As a server, you are responsible for curating that truly unforgettable experience You are exceptional at collaborating with fellow team members and excited to further develop your service skill set. As the heart of our front of house operations, you are a natural problem-solver, with fantastic organizational skills, able to take charge of your section with ease, all while showcasing your effervescent personality. **Duties & Responsibilities** Reporting to the Lounge Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions of the Server include but are not limited to the following: - Create memorable experience for guests, anticipating needs at every turn while going the extra mile - Possess an in-depth, but still expanding, knowledge of various menus, recipes & pairings - Create & build ongoing connections with guests - Communicate important information with fellow team members promptly & effectively - Be a problem-solver & supportive team player - Actively promotes a vertical mindset in the workplace - Always be looking to grow & learn - Maintain & uphold current B.C. liquor laws & regulations - Adhere to all health & safety requirements, including keeping a clean & tidy workspace - Follow company policies & procedures as outlined in the Employee handbook - Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs - Experience as a Server is an asset - Relevant outside experience is favourable - Valid BC Responsible Service Certification (S.I.R. - "Serving It Right") - Receptive to feedback with a desire to learn & grow - Excellent communication skills - Energetic & positive - Team-oriented & thrives in a fast-paced environment **Physical requirements** - Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, stoop & lift up to 50lbs - Constant standing for a minimum of 4 hours at one time - Occasional ascending or descending flights - Balance & carry a tray of up to 20lbs while walking **How to Apply**: **Employment Type**: Part-Time **Schedule**: - Up to 8-hour shifts - Day shifts - Evening shifts - Weekend shifts **Wage**: Starting at $17.50/hour **Supplemental Pay Types**: Tips **Contract**: Part-time; 90-day probation **Location**: Kamloops, BC, Canada **Job Type**: Part-time **Salary**: From $17.50 per hour **Benefits**: - Discounted or free food - Flexible schedule Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Tips Ability to commute/relocate: - Kamloops, BC V2C 2B2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Serving: 2 years (preferred) **Language**: - English (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Responsible Serve B.C.
