As an experienced Die Cutting Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our die cutting machinery, with a focus on **clamshell die cutting press**. You will play a vital role in ensuring the precise and efficient execution of die cutting jobs for a diverse range of print products. Ideally, you will also be comfortable operating finishing/bindery equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up, operate, and maintain **clamshell die cutter** according to job specifications.
- Interpret job tickets (work orders) and understand project requirements, including materials, quantities, and quality standards (QC).
- Perform pre-production runs to verify accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
- Monitor machine operation, identify any issues, and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production run to ensure finished products meet company and client standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with other production team members to meet deadlines and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Accurately complete production records and reports.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Die Cutting Operator in a commercial printing environment is essential. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience and good knowledge of dies. Understanding of the print industry.
- **Demonstrable experience operating clamshell die cutters is mandatory.**:

- In-depth knowledge of die cutting processes, tooling, dies and safety procedures relevant to these machines.
- Experience with various substrates and the ability to adjust machine settings accordingly.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and technical drawings.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
