Bright Star Counselling is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team in Port Moody, BC. We are a multi disciplinary paediatric mental health clinic that provides excellent patient care and is committed to the best possible outcomes for our clients.

We are a group of 15 RCC, 3 RSW and one OT - and now looking to add an SLP to our team. We are looking for someone who is keen to work as part of a team, while managing their own case load and developing our new SLP program.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform clinical assessments and make recommendations for treatment plans
- Carrying out speech language therapy activities (including reading, writing, listening, speaking, social skills, negotiation, etc.)
- Conducting phone calls with clients
- Providing ongoing feedback on client’s progress
- Documenting speech and behavioural problems into electronic health records
- Adheres to professional standards and protocols
- Maintain the highest level of care for patients and comply with HIPAA regulations

**Skills**
- Proven working experience as a speech-language pathologist (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, medical guidelines, and standards of practice in the field
- Knowledge of the principles of developmental psychology and behavior analysis
- Ability to organize and prioritize work while being agile and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- BSc degree in speech-language pathology or related field;

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay

- Port Moody, BC V3H 2B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
