**Program Coordinator**
As Program Coordinator at NAFC, under the directions of the Program Manager, you will facilitate the effective management of programs as per the NAFC standards. Every day you will help with planning and organizing the activities and implementation of economic and labour development programs and carrying out significant operational duties. **JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Program Coordinator -**Labour and Economic Development**
**Job Overview**
As an integral member of the NAFC’s programs team, under the direction of the program manager, the program coordinator will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and managing programs that foster economic growth and labour development within Indigenous communities. This position involves working closely with community members, stakeholders, and partners to identify needs, develop strategies, and ensure successful program outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement programs focused on economic and labour development tailored to the needs of Indigenous communities.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure program objectives are met.
- Monitor and evaluate program activities to measure impact and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify economic opportunities and challenges within the community.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and community meetings to gather input and provide information about programs.
- Collaborate with other organizations, and institutions to leverage resources and expertise.
- Seek funding opportunities and prepare grant proposals to support program initiatives.
- Represent the NAFC at relevant forums, conferences, and events.
- Prepare regular reports on program progress, including financial reports and impact assessments.
- Maintain comprehensive records of program activities, participant engagement, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all funding and reporting requirements.
- Advocate for the economic and labour development needs of Indigenous communities.
- Develop and disseminate communication materials to promote program initiatives and successes.

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Indigenous Studies or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in economic or labour development, preferably in a non-profit or Indigenous organization.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, values, and socio-economic issues.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in grant writing, report writing and fundraising is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Being able to work in French or Indigenous languages is an asset.
