- Area of accountability no.1: Brand & Product Line Management

Main activities:

- Identifies brand and product line positioning with assistance from both the US and Global Teams, and the available 3- year marketing plan (i.e. pricing, sales strategy, communication strategy, etc.)
- Leads the development and implementation of annual product marketing plans based on US and Global Strategies already developed. Completes year-end projections and suggests ways in which brand portfolio can evolve over 3 years with relevant tactics.
- Before going to market, reviews, edits and approves all materials according to market, regulatory or customer

requirements.
- Develops marketing campaigns based on knowledge of brand portfolio, market segments, profitability expectations,

product costs and market conditions.
- Leads development of marketing and sales support materials, specific to products, in a timely fashion
- Introduce new products to the marketplace.
- Proposes plans for lifecycle management of product line and to rationalize the brand portfolio where appropriate.
- Expected results: Achieve optimal profit contribution for brand portfolio by managing the balance between volume, price and marketing expenses.

Area of accountability no 2: Product Management
- Establishes a 3-year marketing plan and sets direction for product category.
- Produces product forecasts.
- With Supply Chain,, monitors inventory levels and backorder status of key products.
- Provides data to prepare, update and control sales forecasts for existing and new products. Validates and

consolidates sales forecasts.
- Identifies the impact of key external market, competitive developments and trends as it relates to the business and

brand product lines.
- Works with Marketing Manager, develops marketing plans, sales strategies and action plans for identified targets of

opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules and action assignments.
- Works with Marketing Manager to plan product operating budget and develop regional/national sales campaigns.
- Works with US Pet Food Product Manager on advertising plans if appropriate etc.
- Track monthly P&L, expenses and other necessary accounts.
- Expected results: Provides hands-on management of brand marketing and sales plans, assisting in projects when necessary to achieve results.

Area of accountability no 3: Customer Focus

Main activities:

- Provides information and materials for external customers and to support technical support.
- Works with Virbac internal resources to adapt technical and promotional support materials for Sales team.
- Identifies customers’ expectations utilizing pertinent market research/business reports, studies and seeks to

improve the brand offerings/services to satisfy present and future needs.
- Travels in Field to experience and collect customer understanding of marketing campaigns.
- Works with Marketing Manager to expand and utilize marketing databases to target business opportunities.
- Utilizes knowledge learned from attending trade shows and conferences to maximize ROI of major events.
- Expected results: Identifies the right decision-makers and creates customized programs with specific

metrics then measures outcomes and develops contingency plans when/if necessary.

Area of accountability no.4: Communication

Main activities:

- Responsible for internal and external communications within Canada on brand marketing related information.
- Manages day-to-day activities specific to brands.
- Ensures integration of product marketing function with others within marketing group, sales, and technical services.
- Interacts with market development manager to increase our public relations efforts.
- Develops business and market share updates and presents results to Marketing Manager and GM of Canada.
- Communicates product strategy and manages product messaging, sales goals and campaign performance proactively

communicating with sales, sales leadership and technology services.
- Integrates digital marketing plans for both the veterinarian and pet owner (website, brand universe and online

advertising).
