Server - Morningstar Golf Club

_Morningstar Golf Club, a premier year-round golf course on beautiful Vancouver Island, is located in Parksville, a seaside community about 25 minutes north of Nanaimo. The Les Ferber designed course has been designed to offer a fun challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The fairways and greens have been carved out of a natural woodland area with sloping fairways, rolling undulations, well-conditioned greens, and strategically placed bunkers._

We are currently seeking a Server for our Morningstar Grill and Turn concession. Our Servers are key members of the Food & Beverage team serving food and all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant guests. Our Servers provide restaurant guests with friendly, courteous, and gracious Front of House service confidently anticipating and responding to their needs and expectations. Our Servers also complete restaurant opening and closing duties; ensure a clean and safe working and dining environment; effectively make food and beverage recommendations based on deep knowledge of menu item ingredients and bar products; diplomatically handle guest concerns if they arise; accurately use POS system to process payments; and efficiently clear and clean tables and bar surfaces. Morningstar Servers will be expected to have an interest in the game of golf; be willing and able to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends; and have a genuine interest in helping all restaurant guests enjoy their Morningstar Golf experience.

**Education required**:

- Be ‘Serving It Right’ certified and ‘Food Safe’ certified (or willing to obtain ‘Food Safe’ certification)
- Have previous serving experience - experience in a golf course restaurant environment is an asset.
- Have excellent communication and social skills being friendly, outgoing, approachable, and genuinely interested in establishing positive relationships and providing excellent experiences for Morningstar Grill restaurant customers.
- Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Be self-motivated, able to work alone and/or unsupervised, but also as an engaged member of the Morningstar Food & Beverage team.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the game of golf.
