An eligibility list may be created for similar positions and will remain in effect for 12 months. The Child Protection Branch is seeking to fill a Leading Program Practice Specialist position. Conditions of Employment: - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada - Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check - Must possess and maintain a full valid Class 5F Manitoba driver's licence - Must be able to have access to a vehicle for work purposes - Must have the ability to travel throughout Manitoba and stay overnight, if required Qualifications: **Essential**: - A BSW (Bachelor of Social Work) or MSW (Master of Social Work) preferred in social sciences or a related field and several years directly related experience, including several years in a management and/or consultative capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Advanced knowledge and expertise in CFS program policy, service delivery and leading practice approaches and possess a strong knowledge of collateral services, programs and systems in various child welfare service provisions (voluntary, protection, intake, foster care and group care). - Strong interpersonal skills (clear communicator, diplomacy, and tact), high emotional quotient (poise) and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. - Advanced negotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving skills. - Strong written communication skills. - Knowledge regarding the issues faced by Indigenous children/youth and working from a frame work that fosters truth and reconciliation. **Desired**: - Experience and proficiency in working with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). - Experience in writing Briefing Notes, Advisory Notes, circulars and training material. - Experience in developing and implementing training strategies. - Experience with CFSIS (CFS internal database system. **Duties**: Reporting to the Strategic Operations Specialist, the Leading Program and Practice Specialist (herein after referred to as "the Specialist") provides strategic leadership in all matters pertaining to the Child Protection Branch (CPB) programs.
