**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

Concurrent Disorders Clinicians (CDC) employ a strengths-based approach to supporting individuals with addictions and mental health. You are part of a collaborative team that supports people who use substances through assessment, support and transition plans, referrals, and therapeutic interventions. We currently have two full-time contract positions available and are seeking clinicians to engage in individual and group counselling using evidence-informed modalities. You make a difference

**Hours of work**: 37.5-hours per week. Primarily Monday to Friday days, offering evening hours at least one day per week

**Training**: Our Addictions and Mental Health department has a variety of programs that allow Concurrent Disorders Clinicians to grow their skills and there is initial comprehensive training related to all aspects of the role.

**Contracts end**: March 27, 2026

Concurrent Disorders Clinicians may have the opportunity to take on different assignments within the department which could include: leading therapeutic programming within our Withdrawal Management Treatment Services, providing community-based outpatient treatment focused on gambling or youth, or providing services on site at the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (BHN RAAM) clinic or CMHA Safe Beds program.

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Have a college diploma in the Human/Social Services field, with a University Degree in a related Social Sciences preferred
- Must have current registration with a professional governing body such as CRPO or OCSWSSW
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ combined education/experience in substance use, concurrent disorders and/or mental health clinical settings
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
- Have access to reliable transportation
- Be able to manage frequent exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
