**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the Location Supervisor, the Team Lead is responsible for actively promoting the provision of quality individualized support and regular access to facilities and services in the community. Their focus will be to support the Location Supervisor which will allow the program to run effectively.

Fr 8:00 am-4:00 pm

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Ensure quality client care is provided and the Day Program environment meets DASCH standards.
- Serve as a positive role model for staff and clients.
- Provide individual emotional, physical, social and vocational support to clients in a respectful and caring manner.
- Provide support to each client in personal care, including lifts and transfers.
- Promote independence and encourage decision-making through recognition and respect of each client’s interest and choices.
- Manage, conduct and attend meetings as required.
- Complete audits, inspections, checks, drills and reports as required for the program overseen.
- Transport clients to and from activities and home in a safe and careful manner.
- Perform administrative duties including completing communication books/logs, incident reports and maintaining appropriate lines of communication with management and staff.
- Maintain effective communication with the Location Supervisor, coworkers and clients.
- In conjunction with the Location Supervisor, supervise, motivate and monitor the performance of Support Workers in the programs.
- Support the Location Supervisor in reviewing and submitting all transportation related documents and reports as required.
- Must be able to flex work hours based on position needs.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Canadian Grade 10 education **or** Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment.- Full or Intermediate Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License is required.
- Use of your own vehicle during your scheduled shifts as well as on-call hours in cases of emergency is required for this position.- Smart device with internet access is required for communication.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Certificate in Disability and Community Support is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of the use of computers and Microsoft programs required.
- Being able to swim and comfortable in the water is required for this position.

**Hourly rate**:
$15.11
