**Summary**:
Westeck Windows & Doors is looking for someone who can fill the role of **Health & Safety Coordinator**. This role will be responsible for the prevention activities within the 3 production facilities in Chilliwack, BC, as well as act as lead for incident and accident investigations, conducting root cause analysis, and facilitating the safety program throughout each plant. This role requires good computer skills.

**Hours of Work will be Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.**

**Job Duties**:

- Assist with the implementation and on-going administration of the occupational health and safety program.
- Promote health and safety awareness among all employees with a focus on injury prevention.
- Support workplace Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees as required.
- Aid in investigating and reporting workplace injuries and incidents, including

recommendation to prevent reoccurrence.
- Investigate workplace hazard reports and safety concerns.
- Develop safe work procedures, safety reports, and maintain appropriate records.
- Compile and analyse safety statistics for hazard identification and monitoring.
- Inspect work sites at all 3 locations, make recommendations to improve safety and health standards, and undertake appropriate action where unsafe conditions have been identified or recommended by the Joint Occupation Health and Safety Committee.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Health and Safety is preferred, or working towards completion
- Supervisory or leadership experience is a must
- Experience conducting training seminars, leading, or facilitating educational activities is a must
- 2 years of manufacturing industry experience is preferred
- 2 years experience participating in joint occupational health and safety committees is preferred
- Proficient MS Office Skills (One Drive, Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Superior communications skills, both written and oral, and experience developing policies and procedures or SOPs is preferred
