Reporting to the Manager, Material, this individual will provide inventory and materials management support across the business. They will also work closely with other business units including Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, Asset Management, and Projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) output, and convert Material Planned Orders to Purchase Requisitions
- Coordinate the approval and return to inventory of material procured direct to projects
- Coordinate the approval and release of materials from emergency stores for project requirements
- Manage Refurbishment Orders as well as Operating Orders as it relates to materials being repaired, upgraded, or purchased to inventory
- Balance inventory levels throughout the warehousing system using Store to Store inventory transfers
- Coordinate annual physical inventory counts, including the scheduling of resources, and the reconciliation of inventory counts versus book value
- Conduct material obsolescence reviews and inventory write offs
- Support project requirements through the analysis of demand forecasts
- Facilitate material availability meetings
- Coordinate the sale of materials from inventory
- Ad hoc requests and special projects as assigned

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Minimum high school diploma with post-secondary courses in business, supply chain or related field
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in production planning and control, inventory planning and control, procurement, inventory accounting, material specification, electrical transmission, or other related experience
- Working towards inventory or supply chain certifications such as CPIM or SCMP preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited to a professional business environment
- Must be proactive and able to manage multiple competing priorities with tight deadlines
- Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and time management skills
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Sound MS Office skills, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with SharePoint and SAP preferred
- Some overnight travel required
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive outcomes
- Proven track record of good performance and attendance
