Summary of responsibilities

The Manager provides leadership and direction for the Adult Mental Health and Addiction and Services of CCH. The Manager is responsible for monitoring the budget and is directly accountable for clinical and administrative supervision of all clinicians and administrative staff the Adult Mental Health Services, Outpatient Addiction Services and the St Denis Residential Treatment Centre. The Manager is accountable for the quality of services and for ensuring the programs operate within an integrated and best practice approach. The Manager is required to participate in local and regional committees, including MOH initiatives that promote mental health and substance use/problem gambling supports within the community.

Requirements of the job
- Master’s level education (MSW, Master’s Prepared Therapist, other related health care discipline)
- Registration with a regulatory college authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy
- The Ontario Mental Health Act, Roadmap to Wellness, Moving on Mental Health
- Familiarity with Health Quality Ontario Quality Standards related to the treatment of addiction, mental illness & concurrent disorders
- Minimum 5 years’ extensive clinical experience in the treatment of Mental Health, Substance Use Disorders, and Concurrent Disorders
- Demonstrated knowledge of the needs of persons with substance use health, mental health and concurrent disorders living in the community
- Completed 30 hours of directed learning in providing clinical supervision
- Knowledge of the issues affecting people who the teams works with, including their family and support systems (e.g. poverty, unemployment, stigma, isolation)
- Knowledge of community services and the ability to foster effective service linkages and partnerships
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated analytical skills and understanding of research principles
- Demonstrated clinical and administrative leadership stills
- Ability to efficiently manage budget and human resources
- An understanding of continuous improvement principles
- Experience using performance indicators to drive program development
- Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation on a regular basis and an acceptable driving record
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Functional proficiency in oral and written English

- Functional level in oral French
