**Planner Position (Permanent, Full-time)**

Over the past decade, the Town of Bridgewater has emerged as an international leader in sustainability and energy transition planning and programming.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Planner II:

- Post-secondary degree in Planning or a related field is required (Master’s level a strong asset);
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Previous experience in municipal planning environment is a strong asset;
- Licensed Professional Planner or eligible to become licensed per the NS Professional Planners Act is required.
- Member in good standing with Canadian Institute of Planners.
- Suitable combination of education and experience may be considered;
Planner I:

- University degree in Planning, Community Development or a related field is required. Must have at minimum a Bachelors’. A Master’s degree will be considered an asset;
- Eligibility to become a Licensed Professional Planner as per the NS Professional Planners Act is required.
- Previous experience in municipal planning environment is a strong asset;
- Work or volunteer experience in community planning or projects will be considered an asset.

**Terms and Conditions of Employment**:

- Non-union position.
- Permanent, Full time
- Salary: Planner II - $68,705- $88,788; Planner I - $50,736 - $65,534
- In addition to salary, the Town also offers a competitive benefits package and flexible working options.
- Operates out of the Town Hall main office (60 Pleasant Street).
- Regular hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (35 hours per week).
