**SUMMARY**

The Dishwasher/Kitchen Cleaner takes pride in achieving the duties of their job by following all sanitary and health related protocols in the kitchen. Reporting to the Head Cook, maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, ensure appropriate cleaning supplies are available and provide a clean, sanitized cooking and serving utensils to the cooks and servers as required.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Dishwasher/Kitchen Cleaner is an active member of the Kitchen Team. Participating in team meetings, working as a team member to collaboratively address initiatives, challenges and issues. Problem solve to achieve the most effective solutions for the kitchen team.

Under the direction of the Head Cook, the Dishwasher/Kitchen Cleaner is responsible to:

- Operate an industrial dishwasher and other kitchen equipment as required
- Ensure kitchen colleagues have the dishes and silverware required and guests have clean dishes
- Load and unload dishwasher
- Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner
- Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear
- Remove all breakages and chipped items from circulation and notify supervisor to record loss of inventory.
- Clean and dry floors, countertops and kitchen equipment regularly
- Order and maintain an inventory of appropriate kitchen cleaning supplies
- Report any dysfunctional equipment that requires repairs, maintenance or replacement
- Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as required
- Safety and infection control: Follow all health, safety and infection control requirements and report any deviation from standard protocol following standard company procedures
- Other duties as requested/required by the supervisor

**QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Oral and written language skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- Availability to work in shifts during days, weekends and evenings
- Work experience as a Dishwasher or Server
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machine
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Ability to tolerate frequent walking, standing and occasional kneeling, pushing, climbing and lifting up to 30ibs
- Repetitive arm, hand and finger movements
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping
- Given Westerner Park is in the Major Events industry, this individual will need the ability to be adaptable and flexible with their time. Work will include evenings and/or weekend shifts as event volume dictates
