**Salary Range**:$27.00/hr to $30.00/hr

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Policies and Objectives**:

- Assist the Executive Director in the development and revision of LINC policies and ensure the implementation of the policies, plans and program.
- Help the Executive Director in the development of long and short-term plans.
- Update the LINC database to include policies and HR information, like job descriptions.

**Program Development**:

- Work with the Executive Director to ensure effective programming based on PBLA and CLB guidelines as well as organization and funder requirements.
- Ensure continual evaluation of program delivery effectiveness.
- Provide information, logístical support, pedagogical information and language acquisition expertise to instructors of all levels and shifts.
- Conduct activities related to the measurement of program outcomes.
- Compile and provide classroom/instructional data to the Executive Director as required.
- Liaise with the Financial Coordinator to ensure there is adequate instructional materials and equipment and maintain an up-to-date inventory, i.e. for LINC/CNC.
- Work with administration and LINC/CNC staff to support general program needs, such as arranging substitute teachers and childminders, when needed.

**Human Resources Management**:

- Conduct classroom observations and evaluate work of teaching staff in order to determine performance, and mentor changes that could strengthen teaching skills.
- Identify skills gaps, and recommend appropriate professional development activities.
- Complete Annual or Bi-Annual Performance Reviews with assistance from the Executive Director.
- Assist the Executive Director with interviews and orientation of new staff and instructors.
- Monitor and support PBLA Lead teachers.
- Develop and maintain a harmonious and efficient working environment for instructors, and provide conflict resolution support as needed.
- Schedule instructor-student portfolio reviews and support instructors with conducting those reviews as needed.

**Communications - Internal**:

- Report to the Executive Director about PBLA and class supervision details.
- Facilitate team cohesiveness and open discussion along with the Senior Management.
- Facilitate cooperation between the LINC Staff and other staff and programs.
- Participate in organization staff meetings where required.
- Facilitate staff meetings for LINC/CNC as needed.

**Communications - External**:

- Interact effectively with the community and other service agencies: YMCA, TESL ON, CMAS, PBLA and more.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization at mandatory CPC meetings and other Administrative/Management level meetings.

**Administration**:

- Ensure course descriptions and course schedules are up-to-date.
- Ensure that accurate student and childminding information is updated in HARTs.
- Create and maintain records on each LINC staff and students, as needed.
- Maintain iCARE for the LINC program.
- Collect and collate statistical information along with the Executive Director, including preparing or assisting with reports as required
- Assist with arranging guest speakers, PBLA training days, and presentation logistics.
- Distribute PRESTO tickets to LINC students and maintain proper documentation, including Transportation Subsidy Application Forms for those eligible.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Qualifications & Competencies**:

- A post-secondary degree or diploma in adult education, management or related fields OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- TESL Ontario (OCELT) certification is an asset.
- PBLA certification is an asset.
- Two or more years of experience in the fields of settlement, education and/or social services, with a focus on working with newcomers to Canada.
- Excellent knowledge of language acquisition, Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and newcomer settlement issues.
- Experience in program coordination, teacher training and familiar with program management/logistics and curriculum planning.
- One or more years of leadership experience is an asset.
- Proven leadership skills with strong team work experience and conflict resolution abilities.
- Highly organized, tactful, flexible and enthusiastic.
- Excellent organizational, communication and decision-making skills.
- Strong knowledge Of IRCC funded programs, the mandate and reporting requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and awareness of local community needs and services.
