**Rate of Pay**:$32.42 per hour and increments in accordance with the terms of the Collective Agreement**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Provide supportive partnerships with residents with mental health concerns by facilitating individualized goal-oriented treatment plans which are based on a Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Model; Support, motivate and encourage clients to live safely and as independently as possible and utilize community rehabilitation, education, social and recreational programs.

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum Diploma in a related human/social service field and one year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Knowledge of and commitment to the principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and the Recovery Model
- Experience working with clients who are struggling with substance use, mental and spiritual wellness, poverty and homelessness and strong skills in working with a multi-barrier population while maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Strong understanding of oppression and marginalization, specifically related to people living with mental health and substance use issues; Sound knowledge of established and emerging practices for urban populations with complex needs related to mental health, substance use and homelessness
- Knowledge of concurrent disorders and community resources an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with family members, support networks, team members, the community and other mental health service providers
- Demonstrated skills in planning, decision making, coaching and human relations such as a genuine concern and respect for mental health clients
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to working effectively with diverse populations
- Valid First Aid/CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification
- Working knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with an electronic case management system is preferred
- Successful Criminal Record Check

**HOURS OF WORK: 16 hours per week-Saturday & Sunday 8:00am - 4:00pm.** Start and finish times may vary and flexibility with hours of work is required to meet client and program needs as determined by the Site Supervisor.
