**The Role**:
- Present lessons, lectures, assignments, quizzes, lab activities and lab demonstrations for learners as per the course outline
- Develop course outlines, profiles, and curriculum
- Participate in curriculum and program reviews
- Prepare additional study and lab materials for learners
- Evaluate student progress and achievement
- Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
- Adhere to all safety legislation, guidelines and safety standards as required
- Maintain close contact with relevant industry sectors
- Perform related duties as assigned to meet the emerging needs of SAIT and its students

**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Minimum Journeyperson Welder Certificate, with B-Pressure Certificate preferred. Relevant equivalent education will be considered
- Teaching experience considered an asset, curriculum development and design experience are considered assets

**Knowledge & Skills**:
- Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others, with a willingness to spend quality time to help students succeed
- Ability to organize course concepts and materials to create an optimal learning environment
- Possess a positive respectful attitude and desire to support team members and the Academic Chair with program improvements
- Ability to adapt to situations such as unexpected workloads
- Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
