Matrix is hiring multiple Flare Technicians for ongoing projects in Alberta and British Columbia. These roles will pay $35 hourly ($52.50/HR OT) and also provide a $60 LOA (only on travel days) and a hotel (chosen and provided by the client). Our amazing client is a flare and incinerator stack specialty company that focuses on all aspects from inspections and preventative maintenance to major projects planning and execution. In business since 1977, their focus on this highly specialized work has been advanced by the innovation of both technology and processes that enable them to do the work safer, more efficiently, and in tighter timelines compared to conventional methods. **Key Characteristics**: - A safety conscious attitude. - Strength and physical fitness. - Good hearing, eyesight and vision. - Good hand-eye co-ordination and manual dexterity. - Good communication skills. - An interest in working outdoors (sometimes in isolated locations) and elevations **Qualifications**: - H2S Alive - WHMIS 2015 training - Fall Protection (OSSA or ESC) - Standard First Aid, Level 'C' CPR, and AED - CSO (Common Safety Orientation) - Class 5 motor vehicle license - Clean driving abstract provided **Requirements**: - Must have 3 years of oil and gas experience. - Must be willing to travel and be away from home for a long duration. - Must be able to work outdoors and at heights (100 to 300+ ft elevations) all over Canada. - Be physically fit (e.g. able to climb a ladder up high elevations), hardworking, and able to listen and follow instructions. - Support all functions of the crew and report to the foremen. - Able to work in a crew environment - Supply your own CSA steel toed boots (6" and laced).
