**Position Title**: HR Assistant, Client Services

**Status**: PT Admin

**Hours**: 24hrs/wk

**Faculty/Department**: Human Resouces and Organizational Effectiveness

**Campus/Location**:North Campus, hybrid working model

**Salary**: $17.44/hr

**What you will do**:
Under the direction of the HR Generalists, the HR Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive and confidential support for Humber’s HR Business Partners team. The HR Assistant will assist the Generalist’s in providing support to the Human Resources Business Partners to ensure efficient and streamlined HR operations and administrative processes to achieve excellent internal customer service. As an administrative support position, the HR Assistant will also liaise with key players in the HR department, while maintaining relationships and internal communications with other departments across the College.

Key duties:

- Provide HR Generalist support to Staff, Faculty and Administration as required. This may include the scheduling of meetings
- Perform confidential administrative and analytical functions relating to HR matters, e.g. contracts, offer letters, seniority lists.
- Research, data analysis and information gathering for various human resources areas such as compensation, labour relations, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, policy reviews, training, HR analytics etc.
- Prepares, updates, and provides reports as required
- Interview panel support
- Assist with mailings, surveys, and collection and tracking of information;
- Provide support to HR Generalist and HR Business Partner with researching employee details based on request;
- Assisting with the organization of project-based tasks
- Formatting and support in building training materials
- Note taking
- Gathering of information i.e., contract history, step progression, job descriptions, seniority dates
- File management
- Performs other duties as assigned

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**

4-year degree in Human Resources or a related field

**Experience and Skills**

The incumbent will have one year of experience working within a Human Resources department.

In addition, the incumbent will have:

- Strong understanding of HR processes and functions;
- Superior customer service skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and priorities;
- Understanding of EDI principles
- Ability to problem solve and exercise good judgement
- A proven track record of meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism;
- Detail-orientated and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently;
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, perform as a strong team player, and have strong time management/organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with HRMS and Applicant Tracking Systems will be considered an asset.

Experience in a fast paced office environment is preferred.
