Structured products are innovative and customized investment solutions that help investors manage the risk and return profile of their investments. Our team develops, manufactures and distributes these solutions within the Canadian retail wealth management channel. Our clients are investment advisors (mostly IIROC) and portfolio managers across Canada. We also support the distribution and marketing of Market-Linked GIC within the branch network of National Bank.

As an associate within the Structured Solutions Group, you will work closely with sales, trading, product, marketing and operational teams to deliver the best services and solutions to clients.

Your main responsibilities:

- Work closely with the sales team to provide support on various client-related inquiries
- Support the marketing and sales efforts of our Market-Linked GICs in the branch network
- Assist the team in the research and resolution of administrative/operational issues
- Act as a back-up resource for inbound calls/inquiries and for the 1-800 line
- Advise and offer support to internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure high-quality client service
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects and partners
- Develop an in-depth knowledge and comprehension of the different structures/underlying assets offered to clients and stay on top of current market trends and competitive landscape
- Actively monitor and track product launches and current sales
- Contribute on idea and content generation for ad hoc communications / marketing campaigns
- Create and update materials and presentations to clients and for the branch network
- Contribute to the good maintenance of the CRM system and clients’ data to facilitate our transformation and automation initiatives
- Being an Associate in the Structured Products team means:

Competencies required:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field in industry and 3-5 years experience or completed Master's degree in a related industry, and two years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of financial markets and the Canadian wealth management industry
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Versatile, resourceful, proactive and above all have a curiosity to learn
- Strong listening and communication skills with the ability to simplify complicated concepts and problems
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong ability to work under pressure
- Bilingualism, both spoken and written (English and French)

Preferred competencies (asset):

- Experience in the sales of financial products
- Experience in wealth management operations
- Knowledge of National Bank’s branch network (processes, systems and products)
- Knowledge of GBFonds and Salesforce (CRM)
- Good knowledge of VBA and database software (MS Access, SQL Server, etc.)
- CFA designation (completed or in progress)
