**MISSION AND OBJECTIVES**

Ensures that the team provides quality service that supports the lending activities of a designated customer and marketing group. This includes fostering a congenial, cooperative and professional working environment.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitors the lending instructions received from customers and or agent banks for completeness, accuracy and intent. Includes proactive involvement with the marketing groups and staff overseeing daily activities, including customer servicing responsibilities, payment release and transaction processing.
- Monitors the workflow distribution for the team including the daily review of the upcoming events reports ensuring timely processing and verification of maturing loans and commitments. Ensures the accurate and timely processing system (LOANIQ) input of all loan related transactions. Provides informational details for management reporting and the maintenance of the customer billing process.
- Ensures that transaction processing is consistent with departmental procedures and is in accordance with established approval guidelines.
- Reviews the reconcilement of (cash disbursement) suspense dollar and FX accounts for the team on a daily basis. Includes the timely monitoring, resolution and reporting of all open items and ensuring that reconciliation tapes for the Control & Reconciliation group are prepared daily.
- Ensures that team members comply with procedures related to past due monitoring and reporting, including the monthly review of the past due report. Reviews responses received from staff on such report to verify accuracy and propriety of past due balances.
- Investigates and resolves any inquiries or transaction anomalies on a timely basis, and or within established timetables, received from customers, agent banks and or any internal sources.
- Participates in the maintenance of departmental policies and procedures, including the review and drafting of polices for specialized processing areas under the team leader’s responsibility.
- Ensures ongoing staff development and training on an as need basis. Ensures that the staff complies with the established administrative guidelines and is consistent within the overall department objectives.
- Routinely reports any problematic, irregular transactions, administrative and or personnel issues to management deemed to present any potential risk or exposure to the bank.
- Ensures adherence to all external regulatory and internal policy guidelines as dictated by the position.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**_TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE_**:

- Five years’ experience in a loan servicing environment
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred, ability to supervise a team or 4 or 5 staff in a loan processing environment
- LoanIQ experience preferred
- Ability to write clear and concise policies procedures documenting departmental procedures
- Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office products - Excel essential.
- Flexibility in working hours as needed to complete responsibilities
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Good communicator and team player leadership Skills
- Associates degree preferred

**_ESSENTIAL SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS_**:

- Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office products - Excel essential
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to work Canada holidays not shared with the U.S.

**_SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS_**:

- Self-starter and team player, must have good communication skills and an ability to work in a high volume time sensitive environment.
