**Automotive Detailer**

Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Automotive Detailer with **extensive experience in minor paint repairs and polishing**. Must be available to work 8 AM-5 PM Monday to Friday.

**Scope of position**:

- Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles, performing any combination of following duties: Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
- Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using a cloth or buffing machine.
- Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using a vacuum cleaner.
- Repair/polish minor scratches or scuffs on customer vehicles
- Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
- Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
- Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
- Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of the product manufacturer.

**Skills Required**:

- Car detailing experience is required. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required, as is the ability to operate a manual transmission.
- The desired applicant will be a responsible, self-starter with great attention to detail, who is professional in appearance and capable of working unsupervised. You will be working in a new, state-of-the-art facility with excellent working conditions and plenty of available hours. Uniforms provided.
