**Job Type**: Temporary for 1-year, potential to get permanent after 12 months.
**Total Work Hours**:Flexible hours
- 15 to 30 hours per week
**Pay Rate**: $25.00/hr
**Location**:Flexible work location - Home and office based
This role is responsible for coordinating the People & Culture (HR) department. This involves full cycle recruitment, including onboarding activities, performance management support & taking care of training needs. The role also includes overseeing & implementing our HRIS systems.
The objective of this role is to provide excellent internal customer service support to the team.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Full-cycle Recruitment
- advertising, interview screening and completing hiring process
- Develop new hire packets, ensure document completion, provide basic orientation and training
- Support, manage and coordinate the performance management activities by facilitating the team
- Develop and implement training for HRIS systems and soft skills
- Create training manuals and procedures by coordinating with the manages & coordinators
- Employee Record Management
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date uploading and storage of documents and precise entry of employee data including timesheets and training updates.
- Conduct internal investigations of employee complaints and coordinate with respective departments.
- Work with Managers to create disciplinary warnings when necessary and support supervisors in delivery to employees as needed.
- Conduct employment terminations, complete all off boarding activities, conduct exit interviews.
- Perform quarterly employee check-ins
- Manage and coordinate annual event
- Oversee the culture of the workplace and ensure CLEER values are being reflected
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources Management or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Role, especially in Recruitment
- Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities
- Experience in managing HRIS - working knowledge of BambooHR an asset
- Good knowledge of BC Employment Laws
- Good computer software skills, especially in MS Office products
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees and managers
- Takes initiative and is able to identify and focus on priorities
- Experience working in the recycling industry or labor industry an asset
- Experience or interest in environment and sustainability
