**Toronto Simpson Chinese Alliance Church is looking for a Youth Pastor**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:Include: leading small groups, facilitating youth ministry events, serving as a positive role model, and other related duties as assigned. Other responsibilities may include: planning and implementing youth ministry events; leading small groups; engaging in worship services; sharing the Gospel through discipleship; leading small groups; preaching sermons; assisting with youth development; assisting in the development of curriculum & activities; helping to create and implement youth development plans; assisting in the development of youth ministries.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
▪ An authentic, mature relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

▪ A heart to work with youth and their families, and the ability to connect with them relationally

▪ Committed to working with and learning from other pastoral staff

▪ Good communication skills; verbal and written

▪ Strong coaching and teaching ability; willingness to lead and challenge people

▪ Fluent in English; communication in Chinese is considered an asset

▪ Ability to work in a blended environment of Chinese and Canadian culture

▪ Strong digital skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, social media, etc.)
- **Education**:A theological degree from an accredited seminary. A ministry-related degree is desirable.

**Experience Required**: 1.Strong evidence of prayer life and vital relationship with Christ; 2. Minimum 3 years of experience with mentorship, leadership development, spiritual coaching and/or youth ministry; 3. Attuned to current teen culture and the challenges they face

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

- youth ministry: 3 years (preferred)
