If you're the type of person who believes that an organized shop and process is a foundational part of a businesses success then this is a role you'd be wise to consider. As **a pumping and water filtration company that specializes in rental**, we get a lot of action in the shop and having someone take charge and ownership of the quality of what goes out to site is key to our success.

This is a roll up your sleeves type role and the right person for the job is the one who is willing to do the work that needs to be done, when it needs to be done. Ideally, you've got experience in the rental business, and you've managed a person or two. You've got a drivers license and a good driving record, and you're willing to use technology to track inventory, vendors, hours, etc. You know your way around or have operated diesel and/or submersible pumps including hoses, manifolds, piping, etc.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the service shop and warehouse, including safety, shipping & receiving, inventory management, purchasing, equipment repairs & fabrication, logistics and organization. As a member of the operations management team, mentorship to all employees and support to other managers and departments is a priority in supporting the initiatives and core values of Stormtec Water Management

**Key Duties**

**Safety**
- Lead safety committee and ensure warehouse team and anyone entering the warehouse, are aware of known hazards and all Alberta HSE requirements, including appropriate personal protective equipment and use, regular inspection and maintenance.
- Keep up to date MSDS documentation on all products accessible to employees.
- Ensure facility is well organized, clean, well maintained, environmentally compliant and safe.
- Ensure first aid requirements for location are maintained and safe work practices are followed.

**Leadership**
- Build a respected, reliable and consistent reputation with staff and company.
- Plan warehouse workforce to schedule, hire, train, develop and evaluate department staff.
- Lead & manage warehouse targets, provide opportunity for growth, mentor team.
- Ensure employee practices and all appropriate procedures are following agreed upon standards.
- Participate as a member of the management team representing the warehouse and its initiatives, timelines and priorities.
- Lead and strengthen internal communication with staff at all levels throughout the organization, creating a positive and supportive work environment.

**Operations**
- Define and set effective KPIs for warehouse operations with supporting systems, change management and training.
- Research, business-case, plan and implement an effective electronic inventory management system with supporting training and processes.
- Lead the management of all equipment “inside the fence” including:

- _Shipping & receiving_
- _Equipment and inventory management_
- _Purchasing_
- _Coordination & scheduling_
- _Maintenance & repair_
- Define and communicate the min. And max requirements for key products, consumables and chemicals needed in the warehouse.
- Design, implement and monitor warehouse management plans to meet objectives at agreed organizational performance levels and within budget and schedule.
- Establish, optimize and maintain appropriate systems for measuring and improving warehouse operations.
- Initiate and lead continuous process improvement in warehouse operations and equipment.
- Meet equipment supply demands (e.g. inventory management, scheduling, purchasing, re-renting).
- Act as key point of contact for sales reps and other departments for equipment and scheduling.

**Financial & Administration**
- Prepare budgets and achieve expenditure and performance goals.
- Manage and control departmental expenditures within agreed budgets and authorities to achieve performance goals.

**General**
- Contribute to the issues list identifying issues of departmental or companywide importance and develop solutions.
- Promotes a positive image of Stormtec equipment and services while providing exceptional customer service.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Training**
- Post-Secondary education in equipment maintenance, mechanical, electrical, pump filtration or related training and experience.
- Certified Forklift Operator license, TDG, WHIMIS is required.
- Valid driver’s license and a respectable driving record.
- OFA Level 1.

**Experience**
- Minimum five years managing service and/or warehouse operations with full people management, preferably in construction or related industry.
- Minimum two years previous warehouse experience with loading and unloading trucks, and operating motorized equipment, as well as maintenance experience.
