Culbert’s Bakery, a beloved and iconic brand with over 150 years of history in Goderich, Ontario, has expanded to the Covent Garden Market in London, Ontario. We are seeking a **motivated and creative Head Baker/General Manager** to lead our team and elevate our operations to meet the high standards that our customers have come to expect.

We have a strong reputation built on exceptional products, but our expansion has presented some challenges. We're looking for someone with the vision, skills, and passion to level up both our production and management practices, making our bakery a beautiful and abundant destination while upholding our rich legacy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lead Baking Operations**: Oversee the production of all bakery items, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to our time-honored recipes.
- Manage inventory and relationships with suppliers
- **Creative Menu Development**: Innovate new products while maintaining the integrity of our classic offerings.
- **Hire, Manage and Inspire Staff**: Lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- **Operational Excellence**: Take charge of day-to-day operations, from inventory management to scheduling and ensuring smooth production processes while keep labour and food costs on target
- **Maintain Brand Standards**: Uphold the Culbert’s brand by ensuring that the customer experience, product quality, and presentation are always at the highest level.

- A skilled baker with a passion for both tradition and innovation
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing teams
- A commitment to maintaining and elevating our brand standards
- The drive to solve challenges and grow with us as we expand

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Baking: 3 years (required)
