Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the timely and efficient laundering of hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest items, ensuring they meet Hard Rock’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role plays a key part in delivering a legendary guest experience by supporting the Housekeeping team in maintaining the property’s operational excellence. The Laundry Attendant will operate laundry equipment, sort and treat linens, and assist in inventory and organization of laundry areas.

Hours of Work:
This is a full-time hourly position. Scheduling will include weekends and holidays, based on business needs and hotel occupancy.

Room Attendant - Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Laundry Operations & Cleanliness:

- Sorts, washes, dries, folds, and stores hotel linens and towels according to established procedures and standards.
- Treats stained or damaged items using proper techniques and chemicals.
- Operates washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Presses or steams items as required, including uniforms or guest clothing (if applicable).
- Monitors laundry chemical levels and notifies supervisor of replenishment needs.
- Ensures proper care of linens to extend their life and maintain quality.
- Inventory & Safety:

- Assists with linen inventory counts and reports any shortages or overstock to the Executive Housekeeper or Laundry Lead.
- Keeps laundry area clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Reports equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Follows all safety and sanitation procedures including proper use of PPE and chemical handling.
- Teamwork & Support:

- Works cooperatively with housekeeping and uniformed services to ensure timely linen delivery and pickup.
- Assists with special cleaning projects or guest laundry services as needed.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to uniform standards.

**Qualifications**:
Education & Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset, but not required.

**Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment.
- Time management and task prioritization.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Certifications & Requirements:

- No specific certifications required.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Physical Requirement:

- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and push/pull laundry carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Frequent bending, stretching, standing for prolonged periods, and repetitive arm/hand movements.
- Must be able to work with common cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to visually inspect areas and communicate effectively.
- Ability to tolerate heat and humidity from industrial laundry equipment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
