**Location**: Remote office with the ability to travel to our office in Vancouver as required, and to communities for client work.

**Summary**
Under the direction of the Vice President, the Specialist, Economic Development, Lands and Infrastructure is responsible for developing projects, leading client relationships and managing teams and resources to achieve results. They have excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills and are passionate about partnering with Indigenous communities and organizations to support their vision for the future.

The Specialist, Economic Development, Lands and Infrastructure is a point of contact with specific clients and coordinates project resources across the practice area and the company. They will be responsible for helping to build the company’s Economic Development and Business Development practice area, and they will provide overall project support to other practice areas.

**Job responsibilities**
- Project Management Responsibilities_
- Work with the Castlemain leadership team to coordinate project resources;
- Manage a range of client projects from smaller projects to those of intermediate scope, complexity and duration;
- Work with the corporate team to ensure project time and expenses are accurately tracked;
- Develop work plans, budgets and schedules and manage all aspects of their execution during the lifecycle of a project;
- Act as the primary point of contact and work closely with specific clients to keep them informed of progress and making relevant decisions;
- Manage scope change and change order processes; and
- Develop and implement recommendations/solutions and ensure our clients receives the necessary assistance to carry the work forward.
- Economic Development, Lands and Infrastructure Responsibilities_
- Provide expert advice to the Vice President, Economic Development during the development of project proposals and workplans;
- Demonstrate applied knowledge of economic development, lands and infrastructure projects, and strategic and business planning processes;
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of research design and methodologies including both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods;
- Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research, as well as analyzing and reporting results;
- Prepare project deliverables such as community economic development plans, business plans, land and development studies, corporate structure, governance and management options, etc.;
- Present policy and research findings and recommendations to clients;
- Facilitate small and medium size group processes;
- Contribute knowledge and expertise to projects led by other team members; and
- Use best practices, manage and mentor junior project staff ensuring quality work with internal capacity building.
