Been there? Done that? Feel like you have reached a point where your skills are amazing but you can do more?
We are looking for a Veterinary Technician (RVT prefered, but not required) to fulfill a new and novel position as an Emergency Department liaison. Use all of your knowledge to fill the gaps between the emergency department, it's clients and the referring veterinarians.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Under the supervision of the Head of Emergency Medicine and Lead Hospital Technician, the duties and responsibilities of the Veterinary Technician includes, but are not limited to, the following:

- Return outpatient phone calls re: bloodwork, questions,
- Prepare Rx refills
- Call discharged patient for check ins
- Speak with referring DVMs about transfers, prepare estimates and liaison between rDVMs and specialists if coming through ER
- Prepare and review estimates
- Review additional tests and quotations with owners
- Update owners with long standing bills about costs
- Step in to clinical duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Effort Requirements**
- Registered Veterinary Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians would be an asset.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proactive and self motivated.
- Ability to use independent judgement and initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to participate as a team member.

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- veterinary technician: 1 year (preferred)
