**Job Overview**
The Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Helper, you will assist in various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of the kitchen operations.

**Duties**
- Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by cooks or chefs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Help in stocking and organizing food supplies and ingredients to ensure they are readily available for use.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored safely.
- Support cooks during busy periods by providing assistance as needed, including plating dishes and preparing garnishes.
- Dispose of waste properly and keep work areas clean to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
- Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of shifts, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

**Skills**
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Basic cooking skills or willingness to learn cooking techniques is a plus.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to help others within the kitchen team.
