Medical Device Reprocessing and Surgical Suite

Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Device Reprocessing and Surgical Suite Attendant position. This position performs necessary sterilization duties as required with the objective of maintaining the hospital medical tools, medical equipment and surgical suites in clean, sterilized and orderly condition.
**Qualifications Required**:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent that is acceptable to the Hospital.
- Current Central Service Techniques (CSAO) certificate is required (recertification required every 5 years)
- Recent experience with medical device reprocessing is considered an asset
- Ability to perform duties of decontamination, preparation/set up of processed items, sterilization, scope processing, records maintenance, distribution, dressing preparation, ordering, general cleaning/maintenance etc.
- Physically able to perform all the requirements of the job.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-direction with the ability to work with mínimal supervision and contribute to a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to own professional development and continuing education.
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis and be available to work all shifts.
- Collaborates with other team members.
- Is knowledgeable of the roles of other team members and recognizes their contributions.
**Other pertinent conditions**:
- Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($24.43 per hour to $24.96 per hour)
