St Albert, Canada Task Concrete Cutting & Construction Full time

We are looking to add experienced concrete formwork carpenters. Under the general direction of a Superintendent or Foreman/Lead you will build & install forms for a variety of projects.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Take lumber and plywood, & build/layout forms per leadhand/foreman instruction or drawings
- **Flatwork forming** - Sidewalks, curbs, mono-walk, ramps, aprons, crossings, slabs/pads, stairs, medians, plumbing trenches, dock levellers, bollards, swales, etc.
- **Structural forming** - Footings, thrust blocks, piles, pile caps, grade beams, culvert end treatments, underground drainage & utility chambers, equipment pads, retaining walls, manhole bases, weir walls, benching, wing walls, foundations, etc.
- Continuous general site housekeeping in the form of tools, material, & debris cleaning & organization
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications, Education and Certification**:

- **Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract**:

- **Reliable transportation**:

- **Willingness & ability to work extended hours, weekends, and out of town as required**:

- Valid CSTS 2020 & WHMIS ticket required
- 2-3 years experience as concrete formwork carpenter in doing either flatwork or structural or both
- Prior experience within civil construction industry is an asset
- Ability to read & use a tape measure, speed square, chalk line, levels, perform slope calculations, use other basic hand tools & power tools proficiently & competently
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem solving

**Salary**: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
