_The Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate measurements and data to support construction layout, design verification, and project planning. This role ensures that all work is performed according to engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The Surveyor works closely with project managers, superintendents, and site crews to ensure precise execution of civil and underground utilities._

**Responsibilities**:

- _Perform field surveys for layout, grade checking, and as-built data collection_
- _Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks_
- _Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications_
- _Collaborate with project managers, site superintendents and foremen to ensure layout accuracy and resolve discrepancies_
- _Verify elevations, alignments, and grades to ensure compliance with design requirements_
- _Responsible for grades and elevations onsite using survey equipment such as builders level and transit (Theodolite)_
- _Process and analyze field data using survey software (GPS, Robotic Total Station)_
- _Maintain detailed field notes, survey records, and reports_
- _Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and secure_
- _Daily involvement in safety-conscious activities such as tailgate meetings_
- _Promote and uphold company safety standards on all work sites_

**Qualifications**:

- _Diploma or degree in geomatics, survey technology, or Civil Engineering _
- _Minimum 2-5 years of surveying experience in civil construction. Preferably underground utilities_
- _Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent design software_
- _Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities_
- _Strong communication and teamwork skills_
- _Ability to travel to various jobs sites within the lower mainland_
- _Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
