**Job Tasks**
- Performing opening duties such as setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, and replenishing condiments.
- Assisting management and hosts to meet, greet, and seat guests, and issuing them food and beverage menus.
- Know the menu well and be familiar with the food and drinks they serve and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
- Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Provide information on daily specials to patrons, encourage upsells (desserts, beverages, coffee/tea after a meal)
- Serve food and beverages to guests.
- Enter orders in the POS System
- Communicate with BOH team whenever needed to ensure a smooth service
- Checking on guests to establish satisfaction with product and overall experience and providing management with feedback.
- Collect payment by cash, debit, credit, gift card & enter it into POS System
- Clear & clean tables according to food safe & company training standards.
- Sort dishes & dispose of leftover food
- Maintain a clean work & payment station
- Receive, deliver & process payment for room service orders
- Receive & package take-out orders
- Always ensure clean workspace & clean room service carts
- Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
- Efficiently clean and set tables, ensuring the dining room is always service ready.
- Performing closing duties such as sweeping and vacuuming and preparing linens for collection by laundry service.
- Perform other hotel/restaurant-related duties as required or assigned

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow B.A.R.s guidelines for responsible alcohol service.
- Ensuring accuracy when entering orders into point of sale (POS) system.
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety and sanitation policies.
- Attending pre-shift and general meetings to update knowledge of special offers and stock-related issues, and to discuss service and product matters.
- Follow food safe & public health guidelines as outlined by supervisors and according to training

**Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- High school diploma or higher
- Valid FoodSafe certificate is preferred
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
- Able to process and prioritize multiple orders
- Able to work under pressure
- Basic computer knowledge (handling iPad, touch screens)
- Food and beverage serving experience is an asset
- Knowledge of POS system is an asset
- A combination of education, training and coursework may be considered to fill this position
