Home support worker needed Make a difference in the life of a male in his 50s living with progressive physical disability. We are a private family household consisting of husband, wife, and three friendly cats. We are hiring an additional part-time care & home support worker, as well as additional on-call staff, to work with us in our North Saanich home.

**Duties**will include:

- 1) All aspects of **personal care and hygiene**;
- 2) Various **housekeeping**responsibilities;
- 3) **Personal assistance** tasks, as needed.

**Care**responsibilities may include getting him out of bed, transferring, dressing, toileting, peri-care, catheter care, bed-bathing, hair washing, shaving, oral care, as well as ventilator mask and tubing maintenance, meal prep & feeding, etc.

**You**: Compassionate, reliable, detail-oriented, methodical, patient, enthusiastic, upbeat, and always willing to learn. Demonstrated care and sound judgment. Prior experience with patient care, community work, or homecare is preferred, although not mandatory to apply. An HCA or related designation is a definite asset. Familiarity with the safe usage of medical equipment such as transfer slings, track lift, shower commode, power wheelchairs, and CPAP/BiPAP devices would also be beneficial. A current first aid certificate, and training in safe food handling (e.g FoodSafe) are pluses.

**Shifts available**to start will primarily be:

- On-call
- Morning/day shift
- Evening/bedtime shift

These could include weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.

**Wage**, depending on qualifications and experience, is offered at $26-$30/Hr.
