The Sudbury Catholic District School Board operates 17 schools across the City of Greater Sudbury and in the community of Killarney.
Are you interested in working with children within our inclusive and caring school environments? The Sudbury Catholic District School Board is seeking expressions of interest for placement on the 2024/2025 emergency call list for our schools. Call-outs are as needed for replacement work and there is no guarantee of hours. Under the direction of the Principal/Vice Principal, you will support students within the classroom to create a safe, caring school. Following the established timetable, you will provide supervision and guidance as students complete work/activities provided by the classroom teacher or administrator.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum secondary school (Grade 12) diploma. Preference will be given to those currently enrolled in a post-secondary program or who have completed a post-secondary program.
Proficiency in oral and written English. Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
Ability to ensure safety and security of students and to maintain strict confidentiality and privacy
Capacity to communicate tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm with students
Ability to exercise good judgement, patience and self-control when dealing with students
Physical requirements include frequent walking and standing, bending and manual dexterity
**NOTE**: Applicants must be available to work at a minimum of five (5) schools and accept assignments regularly.
**Daily rate of pay**: $178.62.
Applicants who receive an offer to be on the 2024/2025 emergency call list will be required to submit a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check, completed within the previous 6 months, as well as proof of education.
