SURGE Activewear produces custom running gear for all walks of life - from your local track club to nationally recognized marathons & internationally competitive teams. We work with some of the largest marathons in the country, producing custom branded gear for their events, or with running teams to outfit their athletes with high performing athleticwear. The Office Coordinator is the customer service link between the SURGE Team and our clients. An Office Coordinator’s core function is to ensure the product shipments are sent and received daily. The Office Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring that the office is kept clean, the warehouse is organized, and all supplies are stocked. In this role, you will work closely with the Account Manager to ensure that customer orders are sent in a timely manner, respond to customer inquiries, and help improve the entire customer experience.
All aspects of this role are to be conducted with active consideration of SURGE Activewear’s values, mission, and future growth.
**Position Details**:
- In office role, located in Stouffville, ON
- Min 20 hours/week guaranteed
- Flexible scheduling during standard business hours (Monday - Friday)
- Opportunity to work more as the company grows
- Option to work weekend events for additional income
- Ability to write and speak French is a bonus
- SURGE will provide thorough training
- Use of own vehicle required
- Starting wage $18/hour
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Unpack and sort materials and ensure goods are counted, packed, labeled, and stored properly
- Maintain quality control of goods by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Schedule shipments and courier pickup/deliveries
- Drop shipments off to Canada Post or other courier locations for daily outgoing deliveries
- Prepare and/or sign off on shipping documents
- Report any damaged stock or equipment to management
- Ensure warehouse/storeroom and office are kept clean daily
- Maintain stock levels of all supplies
**Technical Competencies**:
- Familiarity with courier companies and shipping procedures an asset
- Ability to create tracking labels with meticulous attention to customer details
- Solid working knowledge of current products and customer orders
- Technically competent with various software programs, including Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
