Location of work: Fort McMurray, Alberta

Essential Responsibilities:

- Erect steel to complete structural steel structures, pre-assemble panelization, bridges and gangways
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to correctly erect structures
- Previous experience with layout, man lifts in congested areas and connecting mods is considered an asset
- Rigging and heavy lift experience: working with construction cranes, derricks, and other hoisting equipment
- Ensures that work is completed within deadlines
- Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision
- Must be flexible with duties to support project requirements

Qualifications:

- Must possess a Journeyperson structural or generalist certificate from a recognized provincial training authority
- Previous experience in an industrial or live plant setting required
- Communication and team player attitude
- Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Work Conditions:

- 14 days on and 7 days off rotational shift working 10-hour days
- Working at heights
- Extended Health & Wellness Benefits provided by CLAC Alberta
