**Your role**
- The CBC Acquisitions team is small yet mighty. We’re hardworking, dynamic and transparent. Our goal is to deliver a viewing experience to Canadians that will inspire, enlighten and entertain. - Under the direction of the Senior Director
- Acquisitions, the Content Administrator is responsible for successfully executing departmental content data capture, information management and reporting; administrative logistics, content and financial tracking; ongoing programme research/reporting related to CBC + CBC Gem Acquisitions and Partnership content activities.
**Main Responsibilities**- Create reports tracking content opportunities, acquisition activities and relevant administrative requirements.-
- Working with Senior Director, develop and maintain ongoing processes with Finance for weekly, monthly and quarterly updates related to Acquisitions budget.-
- Generate content reports used to track departmental programming strategies and objectives.-
- Generating content reports used to determine acquired programming contributions to CRTC obligations, specifically related to digital content requirements as part of CBC license renewal.-
- Create and update ongoing acquired content renewal tracking sheet.-
- Work closely with Business and Rights to manage and update Request to Acquire documents throughout negotiation process.-
- Create and manage reports to identify and track contract requirements (ie: additionals season; rough cut deadlines; CBC premiere dates).-
- Liaise with Global Content Suppliers to generate reports on content opportunities.-
- Prepare reports involving research, collection and compilation of related industry intelligence.-
- Develop and maintain an organizational framework used to store content information related to evaluation, contract and financial, genre and demographics data sets, as required by the Senior Director.-
- Notify and liaise with relevant internal departments (Scheduling/Business& Rights/Finance, Regulatory) regarding financials, rights details, content categorization and regulatory reporting.-
- University Degree with minimum 5 years of related experience; in-depth knowledge of position and processes.-
- Minimum 5 years experience in an environment with exposure to television content production, sales and distribution or broadcast/streaming.-
- Solid understanding and familiarity with Acquisition agreements and licensing practices.-
- Good understanding of Acquisitions framework including processes, requirements, systems and stakeholders-
- Knowledge of global content market and relevant industry players.-
- Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Google Suites and Excel.-
- Ability to multitask and handle competing priorities.-
- Ability to exercise judgment and work independently, taking initiative as required.-
- Must have strong cultural sensitivity and a commitment to contributing to an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.-
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.-
- Must foster strong working relationships both within CBC and with external.-
