**Job Description**:
We currently have an opening for a **Construction Field Inspector **in our **Vancouver office.**
You will join our vibrant team of Professional Engineers and Technologists on construction inspection projects throughout British Columbia and Western Canada. You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of projects for a varied client base including the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Municipalities, and private sector clients.

Duties include the following:

- Monitoring the Contractor’s operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings
- Monitoring progress and schedules
- Preparing daily & weekly reports
- Maintaining projects records and site diaries
- Reviewing contractor work procedure submissions
- Monitoring of quality control testing
- Reviewing on-site quantities
- Contract Administration

You will have the opportunity to engage in a collaborative work environment, working with a team, as well as other disciplines and offices, and grow your role and responsibilities over time.

**Job Requirements**:

- 0-5+ years in Contract Administration and Site Inspection.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution considered an asset.
- Experience on transportation projects, with specific experience in roadway improvements.
- Familiarity with road/bridge construction materials, methods, and process.
- Committed team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction when required.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the province.
- Valid driver’s license required. This position requires use of personal vehicle in good working order to be used occasionally for business use, for which there is reimbursement.
