Your role

Radio-Canada News and Current Affairs is looking for a Journalist who will be assigned to radio in Montreal.

In this role, you will write news copy but could also produce reports for newscasts, information programs and digital platforms per corporate standards and policies.

This position is a permanent full-time position. It will be assigned to the radio newsroom based on operational requirements (flexible hours during the week and weekend).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent- Three (3) years’ radio journalism experience both as a reporter and editor

Skills:
- Extensive general knowledge- In-depth knowledge of social, political and municipal affairs in Quebec, nationally and internationally- Ability to present on air- Solid command of French (working language)- Intermediate oral, writing and reading proficiency in English (BBB)- Good Dalet editing skills- Ability to work well under pressure- Initiative- Keen editorial judgment- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices- Practical test- Interview
