As a Track Attendant, you will oversee the operations of the race track, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our customers. You will be responsible for instructing customers on proper kart usage and racing safety, maintaining the flow of races, responding to emergencies, and keeping the track area clean and safe.
- Part-time, permanent position
- Must have availability for evening and weekend shifts
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Prepare the track and karts before opening to ensure everything is set up for racing
- Instruct customers on proper kart usage, race flag procedures, and overall racing safety
- Maintain an orderly and efficient flow of racers through the track
- Supervise ongoing races and ensure that all race policies and procedures are being followed
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency situations that may arise on the track
- Ensure that the pit area, track, and surrounding areas are kept clean and safe for customers and staff
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management to keep the facility in top condition
- Perform closing duties to secure the pit and track areas and prepare for the next day’s operation
**Basic Requirements**
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be available to work evenings and weekend shifts
**Reasoning Ability**
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
**Language Skills**
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak effectively with customers and respond to their questions
**Mathematical Skills**
- Ability to add, subtract, and work with two-digit numbers
**Work Environment**
- The work is primarily performed in an indoor environment but will involve exposure to the outdoors through openings in the building
- The work environment is typically noisy due to the nature of the racing environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.70 per hour
